For over 50 years, this site was used for operations for the former Tire and Wheel factory. In 2013, the abandoned buildings were demolished, an environmental analysis was performed and the site was prepared for redevelopment. In 2016, a mixed use development was in design. The proposed plan included development of townhomes, multi-family duplex style homes, garden apartments, open recreational space and commercial office buildings. Phase II is currently set for completion in early 2020 and the next portions of construction are soon to follow.
